Reenactors from Bern !! Oo

As always, thanks to Yuri,  (  and me : )  ) you get this awesome video.

Even if i fear their halleberds, imo, I think it’s soooo cool to see such reenactors ! They greatly increase the average level of competition. The best are your oponents, the more you have to train and improve! That’s the good way for our sport 🙂

We just need a TV channel with all contests and the dream will come true !! Replace damn wrestling by reenactment and you’ll see the audience !!!

    >Russian Special Forces practice reenactment
Eh, What? Whar do you mean?
Guys from Bern are same as from any other russian (or eastern european) medieval reenactment club. Simple men – students, factory or office workers, some archeologists and people like that. Some of them served in russian military but that is all. Maybe i got you wrong, but it sounds like you saying that russian elite combat unit is practicipating in this event.

    Hi Bystander 🙂
A Polish reenactors told me guys from Bern were part of Special Forces, that’s why they win all the time. Maybe i got it wrong or maybe the word of mouth changed the truth 😛 Appologies if i spoke to quickly 🙂

I guess that thy win often because their club is maybe one of largest in Russia, with divisions in many major cities. So when contests are coming they can field maybe up to 3-5 teams, when other clubs can field only one (usualy) and some cant field even one if it is like 21vs21. So there are more chances that their teams would pass, and also sure because there are many of them – they can gather more trained and dedicated fighters, who are realy into his hobby.

But im just saying. Fighters from Bern are skilled and good guys.

Then you better to order steel helm that at least 2mm thick ( 3mm is better) and other good armor 🙂 Dont leve unnecesary gaps in your defences. 😉

He! Bystander, I changed my armor recently. 🙂 My helmet is from ukraine and 2mm. I don’t think my cervical bones can bear a 3mm helmet 😀
